In the Heart of Yemen’s Haraaz Mountains

In the heart of the Haraaz Mountains, in western Yemen, one of the world’s oldest and most precious coffees is born. These steep lands have for centuries nurtured the original varieties of Coffea Arabica, cultivated long before coffee left the Arabian Peninsula to conquer the rest of the world.

Haraaz is a region where time seems to stand still. Coffee trees grow on terraces, clinging to the slopes of arid mountains, in rich, rocky soils. Producers, often organized in small family cooperatives, continue ancestral methods: selective hand-picking, natural drying on village rooftops, and slow fermentation under a dry, pure climate.

Each bean tells a story: of a resilient people, of traditions passed down through generations, and of a deep connection between humans, land, and coffee. Haraaz coffee stands out for its aromatic purity and delicate acidity.

Haraaz represents a return to the roots of Arabica coffee — a living heritage embodying Yemen’s history, rarity, and excellence.
