Learn to Make Coffee the Right Way!

This workshop is led by a Master Barista, awarded at the World Barista Championship, and also a Master Roaster for nearly 25 years. In the heart of Paris, enjoy a unique coffee experience.

What are Slow processes?
Slow Methods are extraction techniques that bring out the full subtlety and flavors of coffee. Whether using a French press, dripper (Chemex), vacuum, or filter, these methods are making a comeback—and for good reason—they highlight and enhance the coffee’s aromas.

Workshop Schedule (2h):

  • After reviewing the different coffee origins and roasting methods, you will be introduced to aromatic profiles and sensory evaluation of coffees.

  • The team will then demonstrate 3 slow extraction techniques:

    • V60: a Japanese dripper with manual pouring method.

    • Chemex: designed in 1941 by chemist and inventor Dr. Peter Schlumbohm, this practical dripper preserves the coffee’s aromatic complexity.

    • Siphon: using vacuum extraction, it produces highly fragrant and delicate coffee.

  • After the demonstrations, it’s your turn to practice using the method of your choice.

This workshop is perfect for coffee enthusiasts! You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the processes that transform these small beans into the beloved beverage we all enjoy.
